Portage Avenue Church: Why PAC?

Portage Avenue Church is a group of people from a variety of backgrounds and ages who come together on weekly basis to worship God and help one another become the people He wants us to be.

We are:

A church of believers emphasizing personal salvation through Jesus Christ and discipleship for each of our members.
A bible believing church encouraging its members to study and grow in their knowledge of the Bible and to live according to its teachings.
A community of believers believing in the importance of joining a church for mutual accountability and the practice of love and good deeds.
A church with a mission deliberately pursuing ways to share the good news of Jesus Christ in our neighbourhoods as well as in a global setting.
A church that sees Jesus' message of peace and reconciliation calling us to be peacemakers in all our relationships.
A church believing in the importance of prayer so we encourage its personal and corporate practice.
A community of believers who having experienced God’s grace, strive to be merciful and gracious in our dealings with others.
A church that believes God has spiritually gifted each believer so we strive to identify and then use these gifts in a way that honours Him and serves others.
